For Sierra Leoneans in the diaspora, buying land and building a home back in Sierra Leone is a dream. They want a place to retire to, a house that’s an investment, and a home to stay in when they visit. However, the dream of homeownership can quickly become a costly nightmare with broken promises and roadblocks.

High labor and building materials costs, the absence of proper payment plans, horror stories shared by friends about their monetary investments being squandered, and land scams are some of the issues diasporans face when they try to build back home.

Jobomax Homes, in partnership with Vickie Remoe, is hosting an insightful webinar for Sierra Leoneans living in the diaspora who want to fulfill their dream of home ownership in Salone. The upcoming webinar, “Salone Diaspora Home Buyer Webinar: Build & Finance Your Dream Home in Sierra Leone,” on Friday, June 14, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM EST/5:00 PM to 6:30 PM BST/GMT, will demystify the homebuyer process. The free virtual real estate event connects prospective homeowners with West Africa’s real estate industry experts and current diaspora homeowners who found an easy way to build in Sierra Leone.
