Bringing the Mastercard Foundation’s EdTech Mondays to Freetown

Our team shot and produced everything filmed for the Sierra Leone segment of EdTech Mondays, the Foundation’s pan-African show on technology in education, presented by Joy Doreen Biira and published on YouTube.

3 daysof multi-camera production in Freetown
2 ministersinterviewed for the episode
Brief to wrapin under three weeks

The challenge

A Nairobi team needed a Freetown crew it could trust, at short notice: a panel, ministerial interviews and on-location links filmed to broadcast standard in three days, with the right access to schools and landmarks.

What we did

  • Recce and location planning across Freetown
  • Presenter links with Joy Doreen Biira at Freetown landmarks: two promos, the show intro and outro
  • A multi-camera panel discussion on education technology
  • Interviews on location at Rising Academy with the Minister of Technical and Higher Education and the Minister of Basic and Senior Secondary Education
  • Drone, sound and lighting crews, plus portrait and behind-the-scenes photography
  • All raw footage organized and delivered on drive at wrap
